February is regarded as the month of love, most of our New Year resolutions include maintaining or losing weight and keeping healthy; this does not mean we can’t still enjoy the eagerly awaited Valentine’s Day on 14 February 2018. V day, however, is not a public holiday in South Africa.

Celebrating Valentine’s Day allows you the freedom to creatively plan and hopefully surprise your partner. Most restaurants will probably be fully booked, so preparing something at home will probably be more relaxing and romantic and your effort will score you points with your WCE who might end up serving you “dessert”.

Buying gifts, flowers and chocolate is usually the norm on this day as well. We suggest being creative in how you celebrate. Whatever you decide, we hope it will come from a happy and loving place and you both enjoy your celebrations.

We want to see!! Please use #UniqValentines and repost your pictures on our social media.

To further celebrate love of a different kind. Christians will be celebrating the Easter weekend on the last week of March this year. We wish endurance and success to all those who will be fasting during the Lent period. This is a time for self-introspection and reflection; the end of your old self and preparation of a new elevated spiritual self. While fasting, please remember to stay hydrated; pray and read the Bible.

Please write to us and tell us about your journey.

Easter Weekend: 30 March 2018 – 2 April 2018.
