This month we are profiling women doing their “thing” in their respective fields.

We find out what makes them tick, what keeps them going and the challenges they have faced on their respective roads to success and recognition. Theirs are amazing stories and inspirational journeys.

We spoke to Durban’s own TV and Film star, Tkay Kaula, she tells us about her career and life. Also featured is Thobe Gumede, an emerging film-maker from Durban. Our coach with the most Thinasonke Mbuli and her astronomical achievements as a young female coach in a male dominated industry.

Dr Nonhlanhla Majola also spoke to us about her amazing, unique job. All I can say is there is so much to do out there young, black, queer child. Don’t limit yourself, the sky is not even the limit
